The Legacy of Carnegie Hall
At Morgan State University, Carnegie Hall stands as the university's oldest building and a physical connection to generations of students, faculty, and staff. Through conversations with university archivist Dr. Ida Jones and a look into the building's history, the legacy of Carnegie Hall explores why Carnegie Hall represents far more than a structure—it represents memory, legacy, and the people who came before us.
From the DirectorAs a student at Morgan State University, I walked past Carnegie Hall many times before fully understanding what it represented. This film became an opportunity to slow down and ask what we inherit from the people who came before us—and what responsibility we have to remember it.
For me, Carnegie Hall isn't simply an old building. It's part of Morgan's story.
